Clients big and small
Chris Willis is Vice President of Marketing at Rayner, a global provider of cataract surgery solutions. Chris manages Rayner’s marketing and clinical teams globally, and was looking for a way to invest in his teams’ soft skills and capabilities, following a Motivational Mapping exercise in 2024. The Motivational Mapping identified Rayner’s marketing and clinical teams as being growth and expertise driven, so the Marketing Mindset Bootcamp was a perfect fit to drive soft skills development and provide reflective space for discussion and team connection.
Catherine ran two bootcamps to accommodate different time zones for the team from April to June 2025. Feedback from participants was strong with an NPS score of 60 and comments including: “The sessions were incredibly engaging – Catherine kept the topics upbeat and made sure the key takeaways were always relevant. Throughout the sessions, I often caught myself reflecting on how I interpret feedback, respond to others, and interact with my colleagues, along with some meaningful personal insights as well. Nav Kumar, Managing Director at the UK & Ireland subsidiary of DMG Dental, approached Catherine at Choose Consulting in January 2024 for support with marketing planning and coaching. Nav is building a high performing team at DMG UK&I, supplying high-quality dental materials to dentists nationwide. DMG UK&I had a good brand and a proactive presence at exhibitions and on social. But they were missing the strategic marketing piece – including market understanding, competitive analysis and strategic marketing objectives to inform the tactical activities.
Catherine worked closely with Nav’s Marketing Manager on a fractional basis (3 days per month) over a five month period. She offered coaching support and co-creation of DMG UK&I’s first strategic marketing plan. Catherine from Choose Consulting was originally approached to run a ‘Productivity and Prioritisation Lunch & Learn’ training session for the sales team at Midland Lead in June 2024. Francoise Derksen, Managing Director at Midland Lead was impressed with the content and style, and this prompted discussions about flexible marketing support for the Derbyshire based company, who supply 99% recycled machine-cast lead to UK and global customers. Since then, Catherine has re-written all content for the new Midland Lead website (soon to be launched), plus articles and case studies for PR and social.
